Grand Hyatt Steakhouse is one of the most interesting dining venues in the hotel.  Why?  Because it hosts couples and families, small and large groups of friends, business entertainment gatherings and single guests who are staying in-house — a diverse range of diners with one thing in common: they are all looking for a good steak and quality service.

 

As a newly opened restaurant that needs new business, what to do with a first-time diner who appears demanding and temperamental, specifying that only a female can serve him and his guests?

 

Joyce, one of the most experienced female members on our team, was appointed to look after him, understanding that trust would be the key factor in retaining him.  Since his first visit, she has remembered his favourite dishes and wines, as well as how he likes them timed and served.  She is always alerted whenever he makes a booking.  She will communicate with the chef and relevant servers before his arrival, and she will have his favourite wines ready at his preferred table. 

 

By developing a special bond with this guest over the past three years — being able to anticipate his wants before he knows them — she has gained the trust of one of the restaurant’s regular diners.  Joyce’s passion for her work has been contagious, while she and her team consistently strive for impeccable service with every guest at Grand Hyatt Steakhouse.
